This homevideo collects the best moments of the Venigallia Celtic Festival, that has officially began in 2004. At the first Venigallia, the festival has introduced itself with a lot of happenings and evocative sets. In the host park there were high fences and enclosed grounds; in the inside area there were the village consisting of large wood huts with straw roof, animals (wild boars and horses), decorative wood fencing, cultivated fields with barley, peas and chick-peas, a beautiful preparation of the craftsmen market and the sacred area with the spring, the votive steles and the Tree Dryads (the Tree Nymphs) and a lot more.
During the festival... duels and battles, knights, Celtic foods and drinks, concerts, historical reconstruction and Living History, experimental archaeology, lectures, exhibitions, ancient crafts, dances, story telling, bonfires, historical tents. On the video you will see all that, together with the Tannahill Weavers performance: the great Scottish band played unplugged sitting side by side with the people! You will live again, emotionally, one of the most intense moments of the festival: the historical groups parade under a torrential rain! At Venigallia we had, in terms of people taking part in historical costume, the greatest battle between Celts and Romans you might never have looked before and that memory is also collected in this video.
